Inaugural Sustainable Wedding Award winners announced at virtual ceremony

Jan 27, 2023

Created to recognise the sustainable initiatives, advocacy and sheer hard work taking in the wedding industry, the inaugural Sustainable Wedding Awards celebrates the work and impact, that businesses and the people within them are having. It was a truly inspirational evening.

The awards champion those that are making progress in their sustainability journey and encouraging others around them to do the same.

As part of the virtual awards ceremony we highlighted the innovative ideas, stories and best practices, showing videos of the finalists talking about their sustainable journeys.

Companies from all areas of the industry are having a big impact – we never cease to be inspired by the commitment of businesses and individuals to make the world a better place. It’s because of these amazing people that sustainability is becoming mainstream in the wedding industry.

“These awards really showcase the inspirational activity taking place across the wedding industry. The past few years haven’t been easy, yet despite the challenges they’ve faced, these businesses have gone above and beyond to balance people, profit and planet. They show us what the wedding industry of the future looks like – a community of businesses, working together to make sustainable weddings the norm. A huge congratulations to this year’s winners, highly commended and finalists – All should be extremely proud of their achievements.”

It was a truly inspirational evening. A heartfelt thanks to all our judges who have gave their time and expertise so generously, and all Sustainable Wedding Alliance team behind the scenes without whom the awards would not have been possible.

The Sustainable Wedding Awards will open for entries in October 2023.
