Nuroosa The Gathering place, will be a Year round inspiration events space, in South Derbyshire. Hosting Weddings, Wakes and Well being Retreats and work away days.
In the second phase existing stables and barns will be repurposed into overnight accommodation. It will be a sustainable, creative uplifting place enhancing biodiversity, and create a kind thoughtful team of locally employed people enhancing other local businesses and encouraging Year round tourism.
Our aim with the land and build is to have a positive impact on this site, to be a sustainable business and to build in a considered ways which inspire and educate others. Nuroosa was designed using a collaborative approach with input from those working in the industry, it’s fit for purpose, it will sit in a field of eucalyptus trees, grown as a crop which will fire the wood fired gasification boilers. Its roof has been engineered to take a wild flower green roof, and solar panels and because we dare to be different and be as green as we can, we will boldly install composting toilets.
We will have space for 100 to sit down to eat and more to dance the night away, and onsite catering kitchen. An outdoor ceremony space with amphitheatre seating, the borders are a mix of wild and tame, of native and species able to adapt as the climate changes, as many trees as we can fit in and kitchen and cutting flower gardens, and a wild swimming pond is the cherry on top!
