This month’s featured member is Oxford Fine Dining, who are the first wedding caterer to receive the Sustainable Wedding Alliance Accreditation. They have worked hard over the last year to bring sustainable practices into their kitchen and office operations. They’ve transformed the way they measure, reduce and monitor food waste, helping to reduce both their own business footprint, but also the carbon footprint of the weddings they’re involved in.
“We’re extremely proud of our trusted reputation we’ve gained over the past decade, and privileged to have been given the opportunity to cater at some of Oxford’s most esteemed and prestigious venues. We take great pride in every meal served. Everything is freshly made in our kitchen, with ingredients carefully chosen, highlighting local, seasonal options. We are a close-knit and friendly team with a wealth of experience and knowledge.”

For over 15 years, Oxford Fine Dining has been creating and executing one of a kind weddings. Every single wedding to them is a new story. They offer a dedicated Wedding and Events planner who understands the importance of a couples wedding day and will work closely with them to ensure every detail is considered and every expectation exceeded. Their wedding planning service can also be extended beyond the arrangements for the catering and venue to a full planning experience that will create a unique celebration that reflects the vision.
Why is sustainability important to Oxford Fine Dining?
Oxford Fine Dining recognise the impact that catering operations can have on the environment and are proud to support a sustainable food agenda. They believe that understanding and managing the impact that their actions have on people and the environment, both locally and globally is an essential part of being a socially responsible and transparent catering business and is the reason why they have committed to halve their emissions by 2030.
Their recently developed conscious collection menu has been carefully selected to provide opportunity for their clients to develop sustainable awareness through their menu selections, empowering them to make a difference. They seek to source UK based seasonal produce for their menus working with local suppliers wherever possible and reducing the portions of meat and dairy and increasing vegetarian and vegan options.
Showcasing sustainability in catering
To showcase this new, conscious collection menu, Oxford Fine Dining held their annual Dining Experience Event at the Blavatnik School of Government @blavatnikschool, hosting 80 of their industry partners for a 6 course dinner. The food was paired with outstanding fine wines, from vineyards across Oxfordshire. This was a fantastic evening showcasing amazing, local, sustainable suppliers and it also raised £1,100 for their charity partners Sobell House. @sobell.house
