Russ Avery

Russ Avery is an independent sustainability marketing and communications specialist with 16 years’ experience helping businesses tell the truth about the difference they make.

After eight years in-house at various sustainability organisations, including two leading sustainability consultancies, he founded Avery & Brown, a B Corp-certified creative agency he ran profitably for five and a half years. Today he works directly with values-led founders on brand strategy, messaging and impact reporting. He is Certified Carbon Literate.

Russ already knows the Sustainable Wedding Alliance well. He has written its impact report and run two impact reporting workshops that sent members away with a clear framework and draft copy, several of whom went on to publish their first reports.

As an Advisory Board member, Russ will help ensure the Alliance and its members communicate their impact with confidence, creativity and credibility.
