Why choose a Celebrant Ceremony?

A Celebrant led Wedding Ceremony is not currently a legal marriage.  Most couples do the legalities with a ‘2 + 2’ Ceremony at the Register Office a week or so earlier than their planned wedding date. What this does mean though, is that following this, couples are then free to have a wonderful, personalised Wedding Ceremony in the place they’ve always dreamed of with absolutely ‘No Rules’ to worry about. This is the reason couples choose a Celebrant Ceremony,

No Two People Are The Same

Sharon is a storyteller and loves to weave couples’ stories into relaxed fun and romantic wedding ceremonies that celebrate them and all the things that make them who they are. Every ceremony is unique, just like the couple.

Personalised Vows

Sharon insists that writing your own wedding vows is so special and an opportunity not to be missed.  “Your friends and family will be overjoyed as they hear you using your own words.  Expect a few tears of joy!”

Sharon can help couples to express their own words and exactly what they love about their partner, what they mean to them and why they can’t imagine life without them to create the most perfect wedding vows for them.

About Sharon…

Sharon is an open-minded, honest and caring person that loves to meet people from all different communities, faiths and lifestyles.

Throughout her years, Sharon has worked for Local Government in an Unemployment Office and as a Foster Carer. Sharon has also lived in Sweden and Crete and most recently before lockdown drove to Italy for a three-month Summer stay. Sharon has therefore gained a lot of experiences and insights into life and people which she uses in her role as a Celebrant.

Sharon loves being outdoors and feels very lucky to live close to the lovely English countryside where she can get out for walks in nature. Sharon also likes an upcycling project and has made Wedding and Bridesmaid dresses for family and friends in the past as well as making jewellery from natural materials like semi-precious stones, copper and glass.

Aswell a non meat eater who is always trying out new vegetarian recipes, Sharon is also a big reader and always has a book on the go to fulfil her love of words and poetry.

Purpose and Beliefs

“My love and appreciation of Mother Nature and the joy of being outdoors is what’s made it important for me to make my business as sustainable as I can.”

Reducing Sharon’s impact on our precious planet whilst still being a viable business is Sharon’s aim. Sharon is a big believer that we can all ‘do our bit’ to change our habits and become more eco-conscious and that small changes every day add up and it’s never too late to begin. This is what has led Sharon to strive to create sustainable wedding ceremonies and is one of the main reasons Sharon joined the Sustainable Wedding Alliance.

What Sharon has been up to…

Sharon recently organised a photoshoot for a Secret Elopement in the woods, with the help of Photographer @winterpeachweddings. They wanted to capture how magical a ceremony can be, right in the heart of nature … just the couple in their favourite spot under the ancient trees, using their own personalised vows and sharing their love story. This is also an incredibly eco-friendly way of getting married by keeping it local, with a vintage dress and a simple picnic basket to indulge in afterwards to celebrate their union.
