Helen is an adventurous wedding photographer who lives in Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District National Park and specialises in luxury outdoor adventures and uniquely wild wedding days. Helen likes to laugh and have fun and loves to capture others doing the same during one of the happiest days of their lives.
How it all began…
Having spent her childhood in Scotland and Norway, Helen has always been drawn to quiet, wild, and mountainous places from an early age.
Her parents settled in Yorkshire for her teenage years and now Helen, her husband and their four children live on the South side of Sheffield right on the Derbyshire border hence where their love of The Peak District and the great outdoors comes from!
As a photographer, Helen believes you evolve over time, but she has always found that her biggest passion has been and still is now, photographing people right in the heart of nature! Helen absolutely loves the irony of a glamorous gorgeously dressed couple out in the wilds of nature in places you wouldn’t necessarily expect them to be.

Elopement
As we are seeing other UK destinations grow in popularity with wild and wonderful elopements, Helen has set out to prove that the Peak District National Park isn’t just an easily accessible holiday getaway but in a fact a very good option to cut down travel time for an alternative elopement destination too.
Helen believes that what is wonderful about an elopement is that you cater it to exactly what you would like it to be, so it can be as adventurous or luxurious as you want. For instance, if you like to go climbing in the Peak District then you may choose to get married somewhere you like to climb, or even hike, run, or mountain bike together. The option is there to meet friends and family for a micro-wedding breakfast afterward. Or, if you like the idea of a lovely secluded getaway with a hot tub, log burner, and Michelin star chef then these options are also available to you, depending on your preference and budget, the premise being to get married exactly the way you want to!
“Micro weddings and elopements prove that there is a wedding option for everyone!”
Part of a Bigger Picture
Helen is a “Peak Partner” of the registered Peak District Foundation and donates £20 for every booking to this foundation for the upkeep of the Peak District National Park.
Helen is also extremely proud to be a member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance and is currently working hard to find ways to make herself more sustainable in the wedding industry and gain accreditation.
On her Instagram page Helen recently visited @fineartalbums who supply her wedding albums and loved seeing for herself the hard work and detail that goes into producing such beautifully thought-out products that are as a green as they possibly can be whilst maintaining the highest quality in standard.
All photos shown have been taken by Helen except the ones of herself of course. Her husband takes credit for the colour one and the other is by @hollyboothstudio
